On December 24th, 1942, Lloyd W. "Fig" Newton (Dec 24, 1942) was born. Retired United States Air Force (USAF) 4-star general who served as Commander, Air Education and Training Command (COMAETC) from 1997 to 2000. He was the 1st Black pilot in the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
