On December 8th 1967, Robert Henry Lawrence Jr joined the ancestors (Oct 2, 1935 - Dec 8, 1967). U.S. Air Force officer, test pilot, flight instructor. 1st Black astronaut. He was killed in the crash of an F-104 Starfighter at Edwards AFB in California.
