Robert N. C. Nix Jr joined the ancestors (Jul 13, 1928 - Aug 23, 2003). Chief justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court (1984 - 1996). 1st Black Chief Justice of any state's highest court, and 1st African American to be elected to statewide office in Pennsylvania.
