#OTD Helen Grey Edmonds (Dec 3, 1911 - May 9, 1995). Historian, scholar, civic leader. She was the 1st Black woman to earn a doctorate from Ohio State University, to become a graduate school dean and 1st to second the nomination of a U.S. presidential candidate.
