Jane Bolin was the first Black woman to graduate fronm an Ivy League Law School (Yale ). She was also the first Black woman to be sworn in as a judge in the U.S. She served as a judge in New York. She was sworn in at the age of 31 in 1939. She erved om the bench for 40 years.
