Apr 13, 1907: The new Harlem Hospital opens on Lenox Avenue between 136th and 137th Streets in NYC with 150 beds. The hospital developed a teaching program that is affiliated with Columbia University, and has continued to serve the Harlem neighborhood since its inception.
