Aug 17, 1957: William and Daisy Myers and their 3 young children became the 1st Black family to move into the segregated community of Levittown in Bristol Township, PA. Their arrival on Deepgreen Lane sparked a massive, violent campaign of intimidation, rock-throwing mobs, cross burnings and relentless harassment by white segregationists.
