Reparations is gaining stream as a viable approach to remedying racial inequities from the past. The idea can be traced back to the Civil war period to Field Order 15 up through the recent House Bill H.R. 40 Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act introduced the United States House of Representatives in 2021.
