Shirley Graham Du Bois joined the ancestors (Nov 11, 1896 - Mar 27, 1977). American-Ghanaian writer, playwright, composer, activist for African-American causes, wife of W.E.B. Du Bois. She won the Messner and the Anisfield-Wolf prizes for her works.
