#OTD Richard Perry Loving (Oct 29, 1933 - Jun 29, 1975). Loving, a white man, and his wife Mildred, a Black woman, were the plaintiffs in the landmark SCOTUS case Loving v Virginia (1967) that ruled that laws banning interracial marriage violate the Equal Protection and Due Process Clauses of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
