Dr. Mustafa Santiago Ali is the Executive Vice President of Conservation & Justice for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), former Interim Chief of Programs at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), and Instructor at American University. He is the Founder and CEO of Revitalization Strategies. He also serves as a commissioner for The American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS). He is an award-winning writer and poet focused on social justice. Dr. Ali is frequently seen on television, including appearances on MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, VICE, FUSE, BET, National Geographic, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and Democracy NOW! it’s a new day, cracked open like dawn over mountains, a fierce and quiet roar rising from earth’s belly, whispering: we are more than the silence that tried to swallow us whole.
we are turning the page, inked with the sweat of ancestors who sang us alive, who knew that voice is bone, that power is breath, that we are forged in the fires of all who came before.
Kamala will rise, a President with hands open wide, for every soul stitched into this American quilt, for every name too long unheard.
her voice, a bridge, her promise, a balm. she speaks, and we are reminded: this day belongs to all of us, this hope, our rebirth.
