Juanita Kidd Stout, Lawyer and Judge

Sept 21, 1959: Juanita Kidd Stout was named by the Governor of Pennsylvania to serve as a Philadelphia Municipal Court Judge . Later that year Stout won the election for a full term on the Court and became the 1st Black woman elected judge in the U.S. and also the 1st serve on a state supreme court.
