Booker T. Washington and U.S Postage Stamp

On Apr 5, 1958: Booker T. Washington becomes the only African American honored twice on a U.S. postage stamp. Washington was the first African American to be honored with a stamp in 1940. To commemorate the centennial of his birth, the U.S. Postal Service issues a stamp depicting the cabin where he was born.
