Dr. Mustafa Santiago Ali is the Executive Vice President of Conservation & Justice for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), former Interim Chief of Programs at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), and Instructor at American University. He is the Founder and CEO of Revitalization Strategies. He also serves as a commissioner for The American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS). He is an award-winning writer and poet focused on social justice. Dr. Ali is frequently seen on television, including appearances on MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, VICE, FUSE, BET, National Geographic, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and Democracy NOW! we all deserve some bluesky’s— a rupture in the algorithm, a glitch in the grief. we are coded in constellations, spiritual equations solving for peace in a world that keeps carrying the one of oppression.
they sold us shadows, but we were born light. taught us to fear the wild in our dreams, but we speak fluent horizon, fling our voices into the void and watch them boomerang brighter.
we are more— more than this grind, this grit, more than the lies that fossilize in the marrow of nations. we are divine experiments, proof that chaos births cosmos. our hearts beat in binary: love/justice, hope/fire.
the bluesky hums: you were not made to shrink. you were not made to flinch at your own power, to stumble through systems designed to unmake you. no, you are the architect of brighter days, the rebel verse in a holy song, a testament to the infinite.
so stretch. let your spirit uncoil like sunrise. know that even in the darkest algorithm, you are the line of code that rewrites the whole story.
