Woodie King Jr. (Jul 27, 1937 - Jan 29, 2026). Director/producer of stage and screen, as well as the founding director of the New Federal Theatre in NYC. He was known as the “Godfather of Black Theatre”. He co-founded of the Concept East Theatre (CET) in Detroit, MI with Ron Milner in 1960.
