Dr. Mustafa Santiago Ali is the Executive Vice President of Conservation & Justice for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), former Interim Chief of Programs at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), and Instructor at American University. He is the Founder and CEO of Revitalization Strategies. He also serves as a commissioner for The American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS). He is an award-winning writer and poet focused on social justice. Trump, your words weave shadows thick as night, Misinformation, disinformation, your chosen fight. A dance of deceit, rooted deep in the past, While Kamala stands, her vision steadfast.
She embodies the future, a beacon of light, A powerful woman, focused on what’s right. Her eyes see beyond the murk and despair, To a horizon where justice fills the air.
You cling to the negative, to fears long sown, Afraid to face her, afraid to be shown. But the truth, like dawn, will not be denied, Kamala's call, a tide you can't hide.
“Say it to my face,” she declares with grace, On the debate stage, let’s reveal this space. Let the nation witness, hearts tuned to see, The difference between darkness and what must be.
Her vision is clear, her actions precise, A future of unity, a breaking of ice. You dwell in shadows, your narrative old, But Kamala’s truth is brave and bold.
Step into the light, where falsehoods fade, Where the country discerns in the truth parade. Let the people see, in the clarity’s race, The strength of her purpose, the power in her face.
For in this moment, destinies align, In the stark, raw light, let truth define. Kamala’s future, bright as the sun, Against your past, where battles were won.
So come to the stage, in this pivotal hour, Where the future beckons with all its power. Let the world witness, in this honest space, The profound difference in this crucial embrace.
