

Robert Earl Paige is an artist and arts educator working in textile, painting, collage, and sculpture. He works in Woodlawn, Chicago where he was born. He work is associated with the Black arts Movement. Paige trained at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. He has worked for the following firms: Skidmore, Owings &Merrill, Sears Roebuck and Company and Fiorio Miliano design house in Italy. His work in the decorative arts interrogates political and cultural themes and contains contemporary and historical references as well as traditional textile practices in Africa. He currently works in Chicago.
