Rahsaan Roland Kirk (Aug 7, 1935 - Dec 5, 1977). Born Ronald Theodore Kirk, known earlier in his career simply as Roland Kirk. Jazz multi-instrumentalist who played tenor sax, flute and many other instruments. He was renowned for his onstage vitality; in his shows, virtuoso improvisation was accompanied by comic & political banter and the simultaneous playing of several instruments.
