Muhammad Ahmad, as known as Max Stanford, is an American Civil Rights Activist and co-founder and chairman of Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM). Ahmad, while a student at Central State University (then Central State College) formed an off campus branch of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) known as Challenge in 1960. This group eventually became RAM. Stanford would later work with activists such as Robert Williams, Queen Audley Moore, Assata Shakur, and organizations such as the BlackLiberation Army and the Africa People's Socialist Party.
