Mary Edmonia Lewis joined the ancestors (c. Jul 4, 1844 - Sept 17, 1907). AKA "Wildfire", sculptor of African American and Native American heritage. She attended Oberlin College’s preparatory and college program. 1st BIPOC sculptor to gain both U.S. and international fame.
