Dr. Mustafa Santiago Ali is the Executive Vice President of Conservation & Justice for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), former Interim Chief of Programs at the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), and Instructor at American University. He is the Founder and CEO of Revitalization Strategies. He also serves as a commissioner for The American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS). He is an award-winning writer and poet focused on social justice. Dr. Ali is frequently seen on television, including appearances on MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, VICE, FUSE, BET, National Geographic, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and Democracy NOW! She speaks in the rhythm of revolutions, her tongue a blade, slicing through lies, her voice a drumbeat, calling us to rise, to remember the power in our hands, to understand that justice is a dance of fists and open palms, of truth spoken raw, unfiltered, unflinching, unafraid of the scars.
Kamala, the echo of our mothers’ cries, the spark in our fathers’ eyes, the breath of a people who refuse to die— we are more than the sum of our wounds, more than the silence they tried to impose, we are the noise of history’s unfinished verse, a chorus of defiance, of resilience, of a future we refuse to let go.
For the people, she stands, for the future, she fights, because the past was written in blood but tomorrow is ours to write, in ink, in sweat, in the relentless light of a sun that rises because we will it to.
When we fight, we win, not because the battle is easy, but because it is necessary, because every breath she takes is a testimony to the dreams deferred, the lives unclaimed, the justice we are owed and will claim, because when we fight, we are unstoppable, unbreakable, a force that no power can contain.
She is the promise, the pulse, the proof that we are not yet free, but we are close, that the chains are loosening, the walls are thin, and when we fight, we heal, we win.
