

Jean-Michel Basquiat joined the ancestors (Dec 22, 1960 - Aug 12, 1988). Puerto Rican/Haitian American artist, famous in the 1980s for his neo-expressionist paintings and graffiti art. His work explored themes of racism, classism, colonialism and other power structures and their effects on U.S. society. Basquiat's work has been featured in fashion and cosmetics, including collections at Supreme and Urban Outfitters and a make-up range from Urban Decay.
