In America's heart, where gunshots ring, Leaders turn, deaf to the suffering, Children's pleas echo, unheard cries, Elders' prayers rise, lost in the skies.

In rural corners, urban sprawl, Violence spreads, a relentless squall, Politicians preach, promises fade, As streets bleed red, under a dark shade.

You, once in power, turned away, Ignored the truth, let justice sway, But karma’s hand knows no delay, It knocks, relentless, come what may.

Even an ex-president, once strong, Now feels the weight of all that's wrong, In the reckoning of deeds long gone, Gun violence's echo, a haunting song.

Let this be our rallying call, To end the carnage, stand tall, For every soul lost to gunfire's call, Justice demands, we heed the thrall.

No more children left to weep, No more elders left to keep, In the silence of the night so deep, We rise, united, from this sleep.
