Autherine Lucy, 1st Black Student to Attend University of Alabama

Autherine Lucy joined the ancestors (Oct 5, 1929 - Mar 2, 2022). Activist, who was the 1st Black student to attend the University of Alabama on Feb 3, 1956.  3 days later she was expelled for "her own safety" in response to threats. Years later n 1992, she would receive her M.Ed. from the university.
