This informational blog commerates the 5th Pan African Congress held in Manchester, England in 1945. This conference represented a watershed in the modern Pan African movement. It was held months before the end of World War Two (1939-1945). The end of WWII ushered in an unprecedented era of self-determination and decolonization in Africa and Asia. The participants in the congress represented a greater cross-section of African descended people than any other previous conference.
